The
Quilt of Hope was born out of a Saturday Morning Special led by Kim Young on "Times of Brokenness in Our Lives". After the study, Kim had each woman create a quilt block relating a message given to that woman by God during a time of brokenness in her own life. The blocks feature praises, prayers, Scriptures, and even illustrations. Most importantly, these precious blocks bear witness to God's love, grace, and mercy, and serve as poignant reminders that our hope is in Him.
What began on a snowy Saturday morning has grown into a meaningful ministry tool for the women in our church. Brokenness may result from numerous types of losses and traumas in our lives. The Quilt of Hope is being used to remind women that they are wrapped in the Lord's loving arms, and that they are loved by their Christian sisters. The quilt and accompanying journal are testaments to God's faithfulness in carrying His beloved children through periods of brokenness. To Him be the glory!
